Mission Statement of P.I.T.E

The mission of this dynamic organization is to enhance the quality of education in the spheres of, building professional capacity of in-service teachers/managers, instructional material development and to conduct research activities in order to assess the impact of its role in the field of education in the province of Baluchistan.

Objective of P.I.T.E

u  To enhance the Quality of Education through in-service Teacher’s Professional Development

u  To work in the sphere of material development for the professional development programs of teachers

u  To carry out research activities in the field of education to enhance the quality of teaching practices.


 An apex Institute in the field of in-service Teacher Education, Baluchistan

Physical Resources of PITE Baluchistan        

u  Eight (08) Classrooms for training purpose

u  Three well equipped laboratories (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)

u  Two well equipped computer laboratories.

u  A well equipped Library, embellished with audio/video centers.

u  A well equipped Teacher Resource Center (TRC)

u  A well maintained Early Childhood Education (ECE) Center

u  One fully furnished Conference room

u  One multi-purpose Auditorium

u  Academic Block for faculty members

u  Separate hostel for male (46 Persons) and female (24 persons)

u  Residential Colony for PITE staff (1-Bungalow & 16 (Fates)

u  Two garage for office vehicles

u  Mess for trainee teacher’s refreshment.

u  One tube-well for drinking and plantation.

u  Separate Wash Rooms for Males & Females

u  PITE also enjoys the services of 36 Training out Post Tutors who work at TO center situated in the remote areas of the province. Each center has three rooms and have been provided with needed furniture etc. for professional development purposes.

Human Resources of PITE Balochistan

Skill Set: The above functions require the following skills in the organizations:

1.      Policy analysis

2.      Planning

3.      Research

4.      Capacity Development

5.      Financial Management

6.      Conducting consultative sessions including interviews and FGDs.

7.      Data collection, analysis and indicators development.

8.      Data dissemination

9.      Reform awareness across various organizations.

10.  Monitoring and evaluation techniques.

Skills ancillary to the above are:

1.      Computer literacy.

2.      Management Information Systems.

3.      Education planning.

4.      Statistical analysis… especially education indicators.

5.      Documentation and report writing.

Organization: P.I.T.E should report directly to Secretary Education as the primary policy body and in line with the above functions BEMIS should be a part of it as already decided. See diagram below:

Capacity Development: Capacity is a combination of the organizational structure, the sum of individual skill sets and technical tools employed. The skills required for PPIU are not easily available both within the government and outside. This makes training an essential part of any reform of PPIU. For new entrants an induction process must be included
